I’m incredibly proud to serve as Headteacher at Nunthorpe Academy, returning to the school where I began my teaching career. It’s a privilege to lead a community that is ambitious for every young person and committed to helping every student achieve their very best.

Having worked in education for more than 20 years, I’m driven by a simple purpose: to create a calm, caring and aspirational school where students feel safe, staff feel supported, and excellence is at the heart of everything we do.

I began my career teaching Physical Education here at Nunthorpe Academy, before taking on a range of leadership roles across pastoral care, curriculum, and whole-school improvement, with responsibility for areas including achievement, data and examinations. These experiences, alongside gaining my NPQSL qualification, helped shape my understanding of what it takes to build a successful school.
